How to become a Pro-Staff Member

When I approach a company about becoming one of their members, whether its field staff or pro staff I always want to make sure I have tried their products or do a little research about the company. You should not get your hopes up because they can say no.

Its not what they can do for you, but what can you do for them. Honestly that's how it should go, keep in mind that in the long run, when you show them your dedication and commitment promoting them they will do more for you as your getting into the industry.

Social media is key. EVERYONE has some sort of social media. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc. etc. etc. When you use their product and #tag them on social media, showing off what you accomplished with their product (in a good light), your friends will gain interest and make a purchase gaining income for that company. Also keep in mind that that guy on the other end of your application will be looking at your social media accounts, so do not have anything negative on your profile, because they don't want that associated with their company.

A great way to impress the staff coordinator is send them a resume of everything you've done. If you have a lot of experience doing whatever you do, and you can apply it to their company or industry they will more than likely choose you for their newest member. You can'not just throw one together, cut corners and lie. Just be you and be professional.

If you was to Google Pro-Staff opportunities I guarantee you will see link after link, page after page of companies looking to hire you as a member. When I say hire, you should be looking at this as a career not just a job or wanting free stuff from them. You literally work for them.

Don't use your Pro-Staff/Field-Staff status for anything but promoting their products. they are trusting you to help their company for however long your contract is. Most of the time you'll be given a discount code it's a unique code generated for you and only you. If you want to help a friend out request the company to give you a friend code. It won't be as much as yours but it's something.

Watch your emails and social media for any promotions the company is having. SHARE SHARE AND SHARE to everyone on everything. Remember this is your objective as a member. You are more of a sale's rep than anything when you have some down time and not using the products yourself.

Paying for pro-staff is a little tricky for me to tell you about. If your into the fishing industry like myself, some companies use staff management systems like NationalProStaff.com and its really up to you at this point if you want to pay NPS $20 to file a application with a fishing company on their website, or spend $20 on the company products trying them out first. Don't get me wrong I am a NPS member but I've never payed them to get companies to accept me, because I use and believe in smaller up and coming companies, local companies or hobbyist in my area and help them anyway I can for them to grow, building a relationship with them get's your foot in the door.

If you'r new to the whole pro-staff/field-staff keep a few things in mind. Pro-Staff stands for "Promotional Staff" because your a promoter, not a professional, also when you are accepted and ready to start doing your thing, you are not just a promoter, sales rep or someone just posting pictures trying to sell the products you are a FAMILY member and treat them as such. It's very rewarding in the future.

I hope this article helps you, thanks for your time.
